Preschool Teacher

The Preschool Teacher position works hands on with children between the ages of three years old through pre-Kindergarten, providing direct care and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum in a 3-hour weekday enrichment program.

Qualifications:
12 core semester units in early childhood education.
6 months experience in a licensed child care center or comparable program.
Alternative: 6 completed semester units and continued enrollment in at least 2 semester units at college until fully qualified.

Primary Responsibilities:
Regularly attend a home church or Gateway Church at least 2 Sundays a month.
In cooperation with the director, develop and implement developmentally appropriate, emergent curriculum for children ages 3 years - pre K.
Help establish and enforce routines to assist children in social-emotional learning and behavior regulation.
Possess proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to the various needs of children and parents.
Regularly adapt to changing situations using critical thinking and problem solving to come up with logical solutions to issues that may arise.

Hours:
Part-time: 25 hours per week $18 / hour

Cafe Coordinator

Job Overview:
The Gateway Cafe coordinator is responsible for maintaining the upkeep and weekly operations while recruiting and motivating volunteers to provide excellent service to guests as they build relationships, connect and serve.

Lifestyle Expectations:
○ Profess faith in Jesus Christ and spend regular time talking with Him and reading His Word.
○ Continue to grow spiritually and professionally through reading, listening to training
resources, taking classes and attending conferences and seminars.
○ To personally pursue a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ and to set a Christ-like
example in words and actions for the congregation, both young and old alike.
○ Refer to employee handbook for further additional policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:
○ Scheduling volunteers for weekly Sunday and Thursday services.
○ Ordering and stocking of product and supplies.
○ Recruiting and Training volunteers for all positions.
○ Training ministry leaders on the use of equipment used for special events and meetings.
○ Maintaining a clean and sanitary cafe, kitchen and pantry area.

Communication:
o Participate in staff meetings, training and chapels, providing up-to-date information about ministry.
o Keep the Executive Pastor thoroughly informed of accomplishments, concerns and future plans.
o Maintain excellent relationships and open communication with all staff.
o Clearly communicate ministry direction, event details and opportunities for involvement with the church.

Hours:
o Part Time; 10-15 hours per week
o $16.50 hourly

Guest Services Coordinator

Job Overview:
The Guest Services Coordinator provides oversight to Guest Services. The Guest Services Director develops teams and systems to create a welcoming and safe environment for attendees to connect with Jesus and people. The Guest Services Coordinator is directly responsible to Executive Pastor.

o Continue to grow spiritually and professionally through reading, listening to training resources, taking classes and attending conferences and seminars.
o To personally pursue a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ and to set a Christ-like
example in words and actions for the congregation, both young and old alike.
o Refer to employee handbook for further additional policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:
o Oversees the Guest Services teams, by ensuring that the guest experience invites attendees to a comfortable and accessible process for connecting with Jesus and GateWay. (Welcome Center, Ushers, Greeters, Hosts, Communion Team, The Hub)
o Create and implement Guest Services policies and procedures.
o Recruit and Train volunteers for Guest Service teams.
o Cultivate a healthy and excitable environment for volunteers within the Guest Services teams.
o Participate in church-wide events. (such as the Christmas Carnival, Easter Egg Hunt, VBS, Volunteer Appreciation, Stick around Sundays, Ministry Fair)

Communication:
o Participate in staff meetings, trainings and chapels, providing up-to-date information about ministry.
o Keep the Senior Executive Pastor thoroughly informed of accomplishments, concerns and future plans.
o Maintain excellent relationships and open communication with all staff.
o Clearly communicate ministry direction, event details and opportunities for involvement with the church and older adults.
o Schedules events with other staff and ministries in mind.

Hours:
o Part-time (10 hours/week)
o $17/hr
